How To Install A Seat CoverView Video Transcript
Hi, I'm Todd here and today I'll be showing you how to install a Kraco seat cover. Kraco seat covers come in three patterns. The Universal Bucket pattern is designed to fit seats with fixed or adjustable headrests. The Low-Back pattern is designed to fit seats with adjustable headrests and comes with a separate headrest cover. Our Safety Fit pattern is a sideless design that fits seats with adjustable headrests and allows easy access to seat controls and rear storage pockets. Before installing our seat covers, please check your owner's manual to determine if your vehicle seats are equipped with side airbags. If your seats are equipped with side airbags, make sure you only use Kraco seat covers with the Smart Seam logo on our sideless Safety Fit seat covers. Kraco seat covers without the Smart Seam logo are not to be used in vehicles equipped with seats that contain side airbags. For Universal Bucket seat covers, gather up the seat back portion of the cover and ease it over the headrest and back of the seat, taking care not to be too vigorous, as that might damage the cover. Low-Back seat covers will follow the same method, with the exception that the Low-Back seat cover will have a hole to accommodate the headrest and a separate cover for the headrest itself. If your vehicle is equipped with side airbags, be sure that the Smart Seam side seams of the cover is aligned with the seat seam beneath, erring to the inside or front of the seam. This will ensure that the cover won't interfere with the functionality of those side airbags. Smart Seam seat covers are designed to fit snugly. Tuck the sure fit flap into the seat crevasse. If the flap doesn't go all the way through to the back of the seat, the foam bar will keep the cover secure. Otherwise, we'll secure the sure fit flap later in the process. Place the rest of the seat cover over the base of the seat. Adjust the fit of the cover as needed by smoothing and tucking the fabric. Secure the bungee strap hooks from both sides of the seat cover by hooking them into the grommets of the sure fit flap. You'll want to route the straps from the cover around the sides and under the seat. If the sure fit flap does not go all the way through, secure the straps to a convenient point under the seat. Be sure that the straps do not interfere with the movement of the seat. If you're working with a Low-Back seat cover, place the headrest cover on at this time. Tie the straps at the bottom of the headrest cover to snug and secure the fit. Enjoy your revitalized car interior.
